Guided Walking in Britain

Isle of Wight       Freshwater Bay

Located off the southern coast of England, the Isle of Wight is a 35 minute ferry ride from the port of Lymington. The Isle of Wight offers golden beaches, forests and open meadows as well as gardens and historic sites. Carisbrooke Castle is a majestic medieval ruin. Osborne House, near Cowes, was built as Queen Victoria's country retreat. Yarmouth is a seductive port with narrow lanes and stone quays. Walking highlights include a path through Afton Nature Reserve, along an old railway line, and along the coast climbing through woodland to the Neolithic Long Stone.
