Is air fare included?  No, but Teachers' Travel would be happy to help you arrange air tickets on Air Canada.

How is the food?   We have been running this tour for four years and have found that most people are pleasantly surprised with Cuban food.  Most nights we eat in the hotel dining rooms and one night we go to a "paladar" which is a private-enterprise restaurant. In the hotels the dinners are usually buffets with a large selection.

How difficult is the walking?  Most days the walking is easy and in Vinales Region there is a choice between easy and more challenging walks.

What documentation do I need?   If you are Canadian you need a valid passport. The airline will give you a tourist card on board your plane (no charge).

How much money will I need and how do I get it?  There is not much to spend money on in Cuba.  You will need a small amount for bottled water, a few lunches, one dinner, drinks.   You can change Canadian dollars into CUC  (Cuban Convertilble Peso).  Each CUC is valued the same as a US dollar but US currency is not accepted.  There are ATM machines at banks where you can get cash or hotels will change money for you. Cuban currency is not available in Canada,

Tipping - tips to the bus driver and the guides are included.   If you want to leave something for hotel staff it is greatly appreciated.

Can I use credit cards?  Visa is accepted in hotels.  American Express is not accepted.  Mastercard sometimes works but not always. Debit cards are not accepted.
