Stay for a week at lovely Selworthy in the
Exmoor National Park near the coast of the Bristol Channel. Walk amid
quaint villages with thatched roofed cottages and over Moorland or on ancient coastal foot-paths. Nearby Dunster is one of England’s most perfect small
towns with a 600 year old castle.
2024 Seven night holidays start Fridays from May through October. Walkers stay at
the same hotel for seven nights. Days start and end with a short bus ride
so the walks are in the most spectacular parts of the island. Three
different guided walks are offered each day. You choose according to your
fitness and ability.
High season prices
start at 1149 GBP (Great Britain Pounds) per person based on double occupancy. (approximately $2010 Cdn)
Non-member associate fee 30 GBP per person.
Single rooms with no single supplement are offered but with limited
availability.

Walking: All guided walks take in coast, wooded valleys
and moorland on good although sometimes muddy paths. A choice of three daily
guided walks are offered.

Easier walks: 6 -
7.5 miles with gentle gradients. Up to 900 ft of ascent over a day.
- Medium walks:
7.5 -
9.5 miles. Undulating and occasional steep. Up to 1425 ft of ascent.
- Harder walks:
10 - 12.5 miles. Undulating with steep sections. Up
to 2275 ft of ascent.
When you are not walking:
Selworthy village with its thatched room cottages is less than a
mile away. If you are a garden enthusiast you will be in heaven
with some of England's finest gardens nearby.
Accommodation:
HOLNICOTE HOUSE. Once a private estate, Holnicote House lies at the heart of
a 12,500 acre estate in the Exmoor
National Park, with superb walks at the doorstep. This delightful historic building is set amidst peaceful
gardens with extensive lawns and a heated outdoor pool.
Non-smoking rooms have private bathroom, TV, wifi, hairdryer.
All meals are
included with a
hot or cold breakfast buffet, a generous self-select picnic lunch and a
hearty three-course evening
