FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT WESTERN SICILY

1. How do I get to Palermo?  There are flights from various European cities but Rome has frequent flights.

2. How difficult is the walking?  We describe the walking as "moderate".  There are ascents and stony trails at times but the pace is easy and with two guides it doesn't matter if you need to go slowly.

3. What if I want to combine Eastern and Western Sicily?   There are frequent buses and trains between Palermo and Catania Airport. Journey is about 3 hours. Our guide travels between the two locations so guests can travel with him.

4. Where should I stay if I want extra time in Palermo?  There are many hotels in the old section of town. Palermo Airport is about one hour by airport bus from the city centre. Buses leave every half hour.

5. What is the weather like in October and November?   It should be ideal for walking with the summer heat gone.
