| This is a two day tour. Pick up
from the Athens hotel at 8 AM Day 1 Enjoy a scenic drive through Greek countryside. Arrivng about noon, explore the famous archaeological site of Delphi home to the ancient Temple of Apollo. Immerse in stories of the classical Greek era. After lunch, travel through Central Greece to reach Kalambaka by evening. This charming town lies at the foot of Meteora's breathtaking rock formations crowned by the world-famous monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka. Day 2 After breakfast, visit Meteora, a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit two different impressive Byzantine monasteries built atop rock towers with panoramic views of the plains below. Once a haven for monks seeking solitude, these monasteries now offer visitors a rare glimpse into a world of spirituality and natural beauty. On the return to Athens, there is a brief stop at the heroic monument of King Leonidas of Sparta in Thermolylae. |
